We hear of many property deals that have gone bad because buyers rushed into purchasing without seeking proper legal advice when purchasing their property.

So why should you use a lawyer when purchasing you property?

When buying in Turkey many foreign purchasers don’t use a lawyer. Here is some reasons why:

- They aren’t forced to because they do not take a mortgage so there is no mortgage company checking the property..

- The seller or estate agent says you don’t need to waste your money on a lawyer.

But, as more foreign property owners are finding, they now wish that they had sought proper legal advice.

Many of the problems faced could be avoided if the buyers had just used a good ‘independent’ lawyer.
