Continuation of the Fethiye Promenade

Extension of the promenade continues at an amazing rate despite the credit crunch. The new harbor with its new wooden buildings gives a sense of modern art and a very modern feel to this area.

We can only presume these small units will soon become a hive of activity and life to the area, improving the standards further for locals and tourists alike.

Local fishermen are now anchored in the new harbor, and it should not be too long before we see fish being cooked and food being prepared alongside the new harbor. Fishing boats ensure that the customers get the freshest seafood possible.

Extension of the Fethiye Promenade

Work on the new promenade continues to go ahead at an amazing pace. We can now see the results of the on going working coming together.

Major works go at full speed and is due to be completed within 4 months.

The new marina will have the capacity for 250 boats; part will be for the luxury yachts and Part for the local fisherman.

Along the 1100 meters front there will be Cafes, bars, restaurants and green areas.

The area, when finally finished will be a fantastic delight for all walkers and joggers.

Bonfire Night Party – Join us on 5 November

The bonfire night party, a night of fireworks, fun and food, will be held on Wednesday 5 November at the Village Garden Nursery, Nif-Arpacik.
Planned is a large firework display accompanied by uplifting classical music to add to the charged atmosphere.

The bonfire will be lit at 7:00pm.

Traditional food will be served including baked potato or wedges, mushy peas, red cabbage and beetroot. Parkin and the old favourite Treacle Toffee will also be on offer.

The 9th Oludeniz Airgames Festival

From the 15th – 19th October the skies over Oludeniz was alive with the world famous airgames.

The 9th Ölüdeniz airgames Festival has ended with an extreme acrobatic show of worldwide famous paragliders. The festival was a major attraction for the tourists while they were swimming, sunbathing and enjoying their holidays.

The 9th International Ölüdeniz Airgames Festival was again organized by Kadri Tuglu, and was sponsored by Fethiye Bay and many others.

All posters, flyers, invitation cards and ID cards were designed and provided by Fethiye Bay.

We would like to give our thanks to Kadri Tuglu for providing us with a stand.

Calis Carnival Day Arrives

Today was carnival day in calis, there were different floats, and it was filled with good spirit for all the people that were involved, the preparation of the floats and for everyone who took part.

The whole process was carefully planned right down to the police escort which took the carnival down along the promenade, up the street towards the roundabout and back down again, past the judges and up the other side of the promenade to where they had the results.

The judges had a hard task choosing the winners from each category as they were all very spectacular.
